The Greek Mixed Martial Arts Federation continues its outward-looking course, aiming to develop the sport in every corner of Greece.
In just one week, the President of the Greek Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Mr. Athanasios Barkas, held a series of important meetings and visits to Northern Greece and Epirus, in the context of organizational development and the creation of new events outside of Athens.
An informative and organizational meeting was held in Evosmos, Thessaloniki, with the participation of sports clubs of Northern Greece, where the Federation's next actions were presented and a substantive dialogue was developed on the future of the sport. At the same time, the Greek Mixed Martial Arts Federation honored Mr. Panagiotidis Charalambos with a commemorative plaque for his ethos, contribution and support to sports and the Federation.
Contacts followed in the Epirus Region with the Governor of Epirus, as well as with the Mayors of the Municipality of Ziros and the Municipality of Artaion, with the aim of utilizing sports facilities for future GRMMF events, as well as investigating the organization of a major international event and the Epirus Cup in 2027.
GRMMAF has a clear goal to provide equal opportunities for participation and development to athletes and clubs from all over Greece. From Evros to Cyprus, MMA belongs to everyone.
The Federation will continue to stand by the Greek countryside, traveling from city to city, promoting the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and creating strong foundations for the future.
