The Greek Federation of Mixed Martial Arts (GRMMAF) paid an official visit to Patras as part of the preparations for the Peloponnese MMA Cup 2027, an event that aims to become a major sporting tradition for the Peloponnese region.
The President of the Federation, Mr. Athanasios Barkas, held a series of meetings with the Deputy Mayor for Sports of the Municipality of Patras, Mr. Panagiotis Petropoulos, the Deputy Regional Governor of Western Greece, Mr. Charalampos Bonanos, and Regional Councilor Mr. Lykourgos Stavroulopoulos.
The meetings took place in a highly positive atmosphere, with a shared commitment to cooperation for the development of MMA and the organization of significant sporting initiatives throughout the Peloponnese.
The visit was made possible with the support of coach Mr. Dimos Asimakopoulos, representative of the Federation's member club, Athletic Club of Martial Arts Evmachos Patron.
The GRMMAF continues its outward-looking development strategy by investing in regional growth and creating the conditions for the Peloponnese MMA Cup to evolve into a prestigious annual event that will strengthen both the sport and sports tourism in the region.
